Our club activities
Arrivals at the start of the season and departures at the end of the season are an integral part of our annual club activities. Our harbor festivals with boat christenings are also very popular. In summer we also organize a summer trip lasting several days for our club members and a harbor festival with activities such as knot tying school for children and young people. Even the colder season does not stop us from organizing joint celebrations. In November there is the traditional St. Martin's goose dinner, in December there is a winter magic in the marquee on the jetty and much more.
St. Martin’s Goose Dinner
Our annual St. Martin's goose dinner always takes place in mid-November. A fun, sociable evening with delicious food, Kölsch beer and plenty of good wine.
Season start and end excursion
The season has barely begun and it is over again and is rewarded with a mostly sunny descent. The destinations that are visited are always different. Despite all the weather forecasts, we usually have nice and dry weather. On Friday afternoon, we set off in a convoy upstream or downstream on the Rhine. After everyone has moored, there is a delicious "mooring" and then it's off to a culinary treat. Either in the restaurant at the marina or in the surrounding area. On Saturday afternoon, if the weather is nice, there is a joint city tour with a stop at a café or mini golf, depending on what is on offer locally. In the evening, it's culinary again and there is delicious snacking and celebrating. The descent always includes an all-round great end to the season.
Summer trip
The summer, dry, warm, perfect weather for boat trips. So we went to Porz from July 15th to 17th, 2022. Special thanks to the comrades in the Porz harbor for the great support, for reserving the berths and the catering in the clubhouse.
All participants enjoyed mini golf on Saturday afternoon and a barbecue together on Saturday evening. On Sunday morning there was a small breakfast together in the clubhouse of Porz harbor and then it was back to the home port.

Neptune
I greet you, having risen from my underwater kingdom! For I have received a call from the new shipowners Norbert Reinknecht, Michael Behnen and YCLH, who are preparing to let a small armada dance on my waves. Today in Hitdorf, it is to happen, three ships are to be launched. Since it is a special honor for me, I hurried here quickly. So hear what Neptune has to say now:
A ship in an unchristened state is a disgrace for any body of water. Oh, horror and misfortune befalls the man who ploughs the bow of an unchristened ship through the water and does not comply with Neptune's divine laws. With my staff I dare to command hurricane and storm for every ship that bears no name. There are many ships sailing on the seas, but none that honor such beautiful names. Silverstar, Sunshine and Bella Donna.
